Join theZoomer for 1972 Team Canada Episode Taping!

Before Joe Carter hit the World Series-winning home run for the Toronto Blue Jays and before Donovan Bailey became the fastest man in the world during the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Canada had already experienced its greatest sporting moment: Paul Henderson’s hard-fought goal to clinch the 1972 Summit Series for Team Canada.

Nearly 45 years removed from a passionate, gritty and politically charged series held between some of Canada’s finest hockey players and the then relatively unknown, yet mightily talented Soviet Union national team, the 1972 Summit Series continues to give goose bumps to those who experienced the tournament.

On Friday, June 2 at ZoomerMedia’s studio’s in the heart of Toronto’s Liberty Village, several key players from Team Canada 1972 will participate in a special taping of the acclaimed current affairs series, “theZoomer.” The star-studded line-up includes: Yvan Cournoyer, Brad Park, Peter Mahovlich, Frank Mahovlich, Serge Savard, Pat Stapleton, Wayne Cashman, Jean Ratelle, Phil Esposito, Ed Johnston and John Ferguson Jr. (representing his late father, John Ferguson Sr.)
